Who we are
The Cheshire Live Steamers was established in 1996 and is a non-profit organisation to promote the building, running and maintenance of model steam engines with a knowledge sharing and experience of our members, some of which have operated steam vehicles for several decades.

What we do
At the moment the club has around 20 members who operate a wide range of steam vehicles and are willing to share their experiences with construction and operating of their engines.

The club has access to a registered steel boiler tester and has a comprehensive public liability cover (not road traffic insurance) for engines carrying a valid test certificate and is affiliated to the Southern Federation of Model Engineering Society.
Where we meet
The club holds up to 5 meetings a year during the winter months with the November meeting being the A.G.M. these meetings are usually held on the second Sunday of each month at Plumley Village Hall.

Guest speakers will be invited to give talks on various subjects during this time.
During the rest of the year our members usually meet up on the rally fields with their engines.
